Train with Zoe
The journey...
I have been a qualified personal trainer for almost 10 years. I began my career as a fitness instructor in a public gym, and after two years of gaining valuable experience and knowledge, I took the leap into self-employment and launched my own personal training business in 2017. Initially, I trained clients at a public gym, but when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, everything changed. Fortunately, I was able to continue working with my clients virtually, and I used the extra time to reassess and refine my business.

Once restrictions were lifted, I made the decision to focus on mobile personal training, traveling to clients' homes or workplaces. This flexibility was well-received, offering clients the convenience of having me bring my services directly to them and providing a more comfortable environment for training. After two years of mobile sessions, I wanted to recreate the intimate setting of home training while offering a wider range of equipment to add variety to workouts.

In March 2024, I was thrilled to open my own home gym, bringing this vision to life. I am incredibly grateful for the continued support of my clients, which has made this exciting new chapter of Train with Zoe possible.

More about me...
Coming from a sporty family, exercise has always been an integral part of my life. Growing up, I participated in a variety of team sports, such as netball and rugby, as well as individual pursuits like swimming and athletics. More recently, I’ve completed several half marathons, full marathons, and a 100k ultra marathon. My biggest challenge to date was completing Ironman Barcelona in October 2024, a tough but incredible day!

I’m often asked why exercise has remained such a constant in my life. The answer isn’t simple, as there are many reasons I prioritize it. For me, exercise is crucial for my mental health – it boosts my mood, reduces stress, helps me think more clearly, and enhances my self-esteem. I also love the physical benefits – the sense of strength and control over my own health. It’s these benefits that inspired me to become a personal trainer: I want others to experience how exercise can positively transform their lives.

I place a strong emphasis on the concept of "balance." Exercise doesn’t have to mean ultra-marathons or extreme triathlons – I recognize that everyone has different interests and perceptions of what constitutes a challenge. Sometimes, I appreciate a simple dog walk in the countryside, followed by a coffee and a slice of cake at my favourite café, which can be the perfect antidote to stress.

I also educate my clients on nutrition, emphasizing that eliminating specific foods or following restrictive diets is neither sustainable nor realistic. I understand that many people feel overwhelmed and confused by the conflicting information in the media and on social platforms. My goal is to simplify healthy living and help my clients incorporate it into their routines in a way that feels enjoyable, not like a chore.

Ultimately, I’m here to help, not to judge. I will challenge you and push you out of your comfort zone, and you’ll soon be performing exercises you never thought possible. But I promise you’ll feel comfortable, and every session will leave you feeling 10 times better than when you walked in. I’m dedicated to making this a positive experience for you.
